The 2025 Mutt March took place on Saturday, April 12, at YMCA Camp Letts in Edgewater, concluding another heartwarming and successful year despite rainy and chilly weather. This event united animal lovers, families, local businesses, and supporters for a day brimming with fun, community spirit, and, most importantly, a common goal: helping senior dogs find loving homes and the care they deserve.
A Community Effort
Thanks to the commitment and generosity of everyone involved—attendees, vendors, sponsors, donors, and volunteers—the Mutt March raised an impressive $5,500 for the Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland. This funding will help provide shelter, medical care, and love to senior dogs in need.
Highlights of the Day
🛍️ The Barking Lot vendor area buzzed with excitement, showcasing unique pet goodies and tasty treats, while live music and delicious refreshments kept spirits high
🎟️ The popular raffle for the coveted Waggin’ Wagon prize pack added extra thrill to the festivities.
🐶 Most importantly, the Adoption Corner gave senior dogs the opportunity to meet potential new families—and the best news of all: the event may have helped two senior dogs find their forever homes.
Heartfelt Thanks
This outcome would not have been achievable without the steadfast support from:
Attendees who braved the rain brought energy and enthusiasm.
Vendors who filled the Barking Lot with sweets, products, demonstrations, and smiles.
Sponsors whose generosity fueled the event and magnified its impact.
Donors who contributed both in person and online to support our mission.
Volunteers who persevered through the weather and diligently worked behind the scenes to ensure everything proceeded seamlessly.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2025 Mutt March. The funds raised and the adoptions initiated by this year’s event prove what’s achievable when a community unites for a worthy cause.
