The Brick Companies Center
The Brick Companies Center is located a few miles South of Annapolis in Edgewater, Maryland. This four-story, 38,000 square-foot facility is the first Class A office building in Edgewater and the first living roof structure in Anne Arundel County.
Living roof structures are buildings that utilize rooftop gardens to reduce storm water runoff and to provide insulation, much like a thermos. Living roof structures are considered extremely environmentally friendly, reducing energy consumption and removing pollutants from rainwater.
The building has a roof with four inches of topsoil, planted with grasses and flowers.
